I'm just posting the pics as sent to me. I'm guessing there is more to the story though.

this came with the pics:
When officially measured by SCI in 60 days, this will be the new world
record for a typical elk.
The current score done by an SCI Master Measurer is 525 typical and 546
non-typical. It will number 1 typical and number 4 non-typical. Forget
it's score and look at the mass of each point and you will realize how
unique this bull rely is. I shot him at the Broadmouth Canyon Ranch in
Idaho on August 18. It was a challenging hunt on horse back and foot in
the middle of the Black Foot Mountains of Idaho . Priceless!!

hormones will make things like that happen. Mix a little in with your Biologic and plant a food source. This all works especially well when they cant jump the fence.

Great elk no doubt, but, I hate pictures like that, it doesn't give you a true prespective at how large the elk racks really are. The rack is big enough without placing it right in from of the camera and the people standing 10 feet behind.

And yes, canned hunt for sure. It takes all the impressiveness away from it. Gotta love those growth hormones. Big rack, little nuts.

For clarity, I wasn't on the the hunt. The pics did come out of the

.... so do you think they were photo shopped?

Whopper Bull! thanks for the pics

the sci, or safari club international score is a big clue. The boone and crocket club will not recognize animals that are breed for big antlers, fenced, any type of canned hunt, etc. The safari club international is around mostly because wealthy hunters want there trophy recognized, canned hunt or not.

No, the pictures were not photoshopped. Yes, it very much was a "Canned Hunt".

From their website:

- 100% Guaranteed Elk Hunts...
- Our hunting ranches comprise two exclusive hunting preserves in the rugged Rocky Mountains of Idaho and Utah and include 10,000 acres of high fence hunting...

And the original pictures: http://www.utahelkhunt.com/2010-world-record-elk.html

Impressive just how Big they can get. But after all, it is a Farmed Mutant. Not really "hunting" IMHO...

Cheers,
