Congrats Man! Great work! I love the old Lever action Deer Rifle... I'm sure some will critizize having it in the antlers, but to me its part of the hunt, and I like it! Good Job.

its actually a Marlin .35, dropped both deer iv got this year on the spot.

I see nothing wrong with the gun in the antlers, anyone doesn't like it, well, that's just to damn bad.

Will definitley be good eats, even the butcher said he was a big deer.

rangefinder said he was at 137 yards when I shot him. I love that .35

Iv seen the bucks and does separate, its still a little early for the rut, its normally late November before it starts here. But who knows the weathers been crazy lately...He was a very big bodied deer though. Getting Jerky and maple sausage made out of this one:mrgreen:

Its true, its classic, you think 10-20 years ago when people hunted that they got complaints of tongues hanging out, guns in the rack? Like what next, do people want us to wipe up the blood and put makeup on it? Hunting is what it is, we go out, shoot to kill, take out pictures of our animal, then eat it!!! Deal with the pictures or don't look is how I see it. I dont go out of my way to make it hideous, I have respect for the animal but I wont go out of my way to please the picture police.

I bought it off a member on this site, its a great gun and very accurate. Its close to 20 years old I think they said. Dropped my doe and buck on the spot so far and and both shots have been over 100 yards open sites. I love it

I think the gun on the rack gives a good reference on how big it is, like the old timers did. the pictures i hate are the ones where the ears are wrenched back and the guys arms are straight out and he's standing a mile behind it to make it look big. Thats disrespectiful, like saying "i shot this and it's not big enough so i am trying to trick you to make it look big"!! If you not proud enough to stand beside it, dont hide behind it!!

Good job 'Skeeter. I think that the pictures are in good taste. I especially favour pictures displaying the rifle across the antlers. Better than having the firearm leaning against the body with the muzzle pointing back at the hunter's head.
