Why cant you hunt fox in bc anymore? When i was a kid there was a season in 5-08 i think that was it shot 1 . Now i would like to have a mount of one .

There are only a few areas in Reg 6 that are still open as I recall.

Get your trappers license. Find some private land. And give er.

Just looked in the regs. I don't see any fox openings.

Best bet for a mount is get in contact with a trapper, or get your license as mentioned and catch your own.

A nice silver or cross fox would make a purty mount.

There used to be lots of fox in the southern part of the Prov. However over the years they have been slowly disappearing. Not from Hunting or trapping but because of predation from Coyotes. Big dogs do eat the little dogs. I trapped a fair bit on the coast when I was younger and we had lots of fox. Then the Coyotes moved in...you will be hard pressed to see a Fox now.

probably cause they don't taste so good.............................!!!!!!!!!

They help keep the varmints in check on the agricultural lands and aren't as much of a nuisance as larger predators. There's lots of people out there that like to see them alive, not really being a game animal.
