Well, I have been waiting for a hunting season like this since I started hunting. 3 hunters with moose tags, and cancelling all 3 of them.

This is my father in laws moose we harvested on September 18. an 11x9, and was with a spike fork bull, which we didn't see till the big bull was purseued.

This bull was taken on October 9, on an evening hunt with my dad and son. It is a 5x7, with a really cool drop tine.

This morning's activity a calf moose taken with my son. We were actually looking for a 4 point buck, but this bugger presented an oppourtunity and we siezed it. I have been going to the gym the last month or so, and I sure am glad I did! I had to pack this bugger out on my new Cabela's packboard.

A picture of my son and I with the calf moose, tag #3 and a happy ending to my 2010 moose hunt!
This season will be remembered by me forever. It was the first harvest of an animal ever with my dad. My father in law is recovering from cancer, and he hasen't been himself lately, so My son and I took him out and cancelled his moose tag. Cancer makes a person realized how precious our life here is, and live each day to it's fullest. This season my son and I have spent a lot of time together, hunting and scouting. It is the first season in a long time since I have felt good out in the woods, and confident in myself, and this little feller in the photo with me is the reason.
So it is full freezers, and a big ole thanks to mother nature and the moose gods for giving myself and my family the chance at quality time together, and some very good food on our tables.
