West Kootanys

I am thinking of doing a deer hunt (white tail or mule) in the Kootanys in Nov. any sugestions? I have never hunted in this ariea befor.

I live in region 4-08 in the west kootenays. Very thick big bucks but you have to put a lot of time in just to get one. East kootenays and Okanogan are way better and easier to get deer.:wink:

Better get out there and do some scouting. West Kootenays can be tough deer hunting country.

There's no point in comming out here. The gong show elk season and the clowns that came with it cleaned up on most of the deer out here.

It's been snowing (~1200m) for the last few days, might increase the chances of the mule deer heading down, you might be in luck.
