Last grouse hunt this season

Hi everyone,

Heading out this Monday, Oct 25 for one more kick at the birds (grouse). Thinking of trying up around Lytton. Any suggestions or feed back on the area? "Birds seem to be sparse this year," is what I keep hearing from everyone. Open to any suggestions where there might be a better chance at some birds.

Any luck, TEN22?

Saw 6 blue and bagged 2 ruffed. Cold, windy and fogy. Hard to hunt when the wind is blowing so hard and everything was sitting low. The blues were hard to see until you almost drove over them and they flushed. Everything was wet and dark, makes it hard to see the blues. Talked to a local and he said it has been a great year for the birds and everything with antlers.
