Okanagan Deer Mentor Wanted

Posted in the "Newbies' area as well, sorry if it doesnt belong here.

Looking to cut my first tag this weekend. Thats all the time I have left this year. I'm a bird hunter, new to the 4 legged chase. Have a truck, gun tags (Mule / Whitetail) ethics and determination. I'm in Kelowna, but will go North / South to make it work. Anytime Fri/Sat/Sun. Any takers?

Out of town from Thursday of next week until mid November, so need to get it done this week(end). Thanks for posting!

Your best bet would be to go after antlerless white-tails, which are open for hunting around Kelowna, until October 31.

Go up near chute lake behind Naramata
Along OK mountain park plenty of deer sign up that way.

Take a hike in the park there's plenty of good spots up there.

Thanks for the replys fellows. Good spots too. I have both Mule (any buck right now) and white tail (any) tags right now. Agreed, white tail is my best bet. Have been out scouting while hunting birds too.
really hoping for some 1 on 1 help in the field as I really do not want to mess up a deer by handling it wrong. I have watched every field dress video ect ect, but hoping for some one to spend some time with me to make sure I do everything correct.
Again, thanks for all the replies. I will be out there rain or shine, with or without this weekend.
