What's the snow geese situatioin this year?

I haven't had a chance to get out this year yet. What the situation on the snow geese so far?

It was a very bad hatch so there's very few juvi's and you know what that means? The birds that are here already know the program, very decoy shy and keeping high. I'm not heading out again until we get some big wind. Good Luck. K

there seem to be a lot around, I have gotten out for two shoots. not too many dumb birds, so I haven't bothered using decoys. I just set up in a ditch by the big flock (8000 birds) and shoot the strays. seems to work. 7 birds each shoot so far. but the birds are very weary and know what is going on. so I don't think the half a$$ed setups and blinds/cover that worked last year won't be as successful this year.
