Most large moose have several points around the top of their palms, some get rubbed down smooth, others never really develop to points.
These moose have to have ten points on one side or three on the front, where the seasons allow.
The definition of a tine caused some angst for more than one hunter this fall.
Having to measure the width at a position down from the tip of the tine and come up with less than 2.5 cms, by the caliper, is a tough call in the field.
I bet many kills are left on the field because a tine didn't measure correct.
Heres a challenge, for personal gain. Go measure some of the antlers around that made it through the game check gauntlet, and see if they meet the regulations.
