went out today to a secret spot and watched 60 deer this morning 12 bucks, 4 really nice ones. waited to make a move, while moving in out pops a 4x4 at 100 yards, 250 to the other pair we are hunting with and it is perfectly broad side to them, I have a head shot, so i wait and let them take the shot and it is a clean miss......:( as that buck is running off another buck stands up and he takes a poke at him at 280........clean miss, so we regroup and still hunt an area while one guy walks the gully pushin. I see a group on the other side of the gully, watch them for a while pick witch buck i want, get a nice rest and pull the trigger. he's hit but still moving, so I fire 2 "hail marries" as he is moving quickly for the trees (they both missed) we find the buck 60 yards down the hill right where I lost sight of him. He is a nice, not huge 4x4 one front tine is busted off (not from his fall)
