Spent a day in the Rock lake area outside of Hinton, beautiful, just far enough out of town that its never busy. Normally see 2 or 3 hunters all day if that. Got my doe, saw many others just never had a clean shot, got a spruce grouse and saw lots of elk, no legal shooters.

Beautiful pics , thanks for sharing!I have some super glue if you want to reattach those front legs. :)

Yeah its one of the few places thats NOT overrun with hunters and road hunters that drive like idiots.

Its been chilly, Iv been getting to my spots before sunrise and its about -6. Once Noon hits it gets to about +4 to +10

skinned and gutted it weighed 94 pounds at the butcher, theres some nice sized does around here. meat is meat

Hey, at least it will be tender. Don't have to worry about it being in full rutt and strong tasting.

94 LBs some bucks don't wiegh that LOL!! good one on the doe nice tender vittles there.

Depends where you go, where I like to hunt in the mountains there is quite a bit of snow and its allot cooler. Tomorrow I will be hunting a different area with no snow at all. I will be sure to post pictures tomorrow night!
