Heading out this weekend for a moose hunt in this area, I have been in the area before. Anyone have any info on this area?

Shot my first bear out that way scored 19 5/8". My buddy missed a huge boar out there last spring (I almost shot it out from under him... I should have). Lots of deer and Fir lake has some pretty good fishing in it. So does Owen. But don't tell anyone.

Similar to Lip Ripper00, I will be heading to Area 5-14 early next week;

How did the north portion of MU 5-14 fare with the fires this past summer?

I spoke to a local CO a week or so ago and he indicated, moose hunting was slow; has activity picked up?
