OK so I'm a gunaholic, my pastime is playing with rifles and stuff.

Here's a couple new ones I Just finished inbetween work and building my house.

The first one is a project that I purposely tried to build a rifle that was 5lbs with a scope for the ultimate backpacking rifle.

It started life as a 260 Remington Ti

-So yeah its got the Titanium action
-Chambered in 7mm-08
-Custom pencil contour Hart SS barrel cut to 20"
-Gre-tan match pin/spring and shroud
-Lonewolf kevlar/Carbon Fiber stock
-BDL bottom metal, probably could have dropped some weight there but I prefer BDL

Metal work done by Bill Leeper
Stock work done by myself

It tips the scales at 4lbs 15 ounces scoped:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

The other rifle Started life as a Winchester Lightweight 270, my grandfather bought it for me over 20 years ago when I started hunting. Never terribly accurate but killed a lot of game with it. As I got more involved with firearms and my preference went to Remingtons the ol winchester just sat in the cabinet like the red headed step child.

I decided to build something that was real cool and unique. IMO I nailed it.
It was inspired by the Weatherby Ultralight, love the look and I always wanted a fast .25 cal

-Winchester m70 pushfeed
-Chambered in 25-06 Ackley Improved
-NOS douglas XX airgauged #3 contour barrel.
-Action Fully accurized
-Action Scalloped
-Bolt body fluted
-Bolt handle drilled and fluted
-Barrel Fluted
-Trigger tuned (VERY nice)
-Match firing pin and spring
-Wildcat Winchester Featherweight Carbonfiber stock that Stewart put a little love into it for me and lightened it up a bit from this standard offerings.
-All metal ceramic coated Matte Black

Metal work by Bill Leeper
Ceramic coating by Alberta Tactical Rifle
Stock work by myself

Although the goal for this rifle wasn't light weight I do like reasonably light rifles so I did a few custom things to drop it to a respectable level IMO

It tips the scales at Under 6.5 lbs Naked but I still need to put a recoil pad on it.

I will go to the range with you and see if Jessica Biel is hanging out at the set they have built right in front of the range:-D

Would be kind of cool if we dump a couple mulies with 7/08's this Nov though...

I'll keep em, my gramps originally bought the winchester for me so I gotta keep that one for sure. Titaniums are just too hard to find to sell. Plus no one ever wants to pay what is into these rifles.

I'm kinda excited to shoot these, just don't know when I'll have the time.

Pretty sure they are the extra lows, have to check and compare with my other rifles to see. You probably see the bigger gap between the scope objective and the barrel, thats part of the custom barrel contour, the shank is turned right down.

Ahh it appears they don't, for the record, I didn't order them...I bought the Gretan Pin and spring and these talleys off a guy on CGN who's project changed......he neglected to tell me they were pimp silver:lol: i was a little suprised when I seen them, but thats what I got

Go about $3000 tied up in the little 7mm-08, but when you start the project off with a $1300 rifle for a donor action things add up fast. Would have been more but I do some of the work myself

I was going to put some pics of my own custom but I can only upload a max 97.7 kb size, that's pretty small.
Brambles, did you upload from a website?
