Me and the boy went to 8-2 this year to try for our muley. First morning 5 does at the trailer, at one point counted 13. Worked our butts off all weekend. Sunday awful, got soaked to the bone, couldn't see 30m in the fog, heavy rain. All weekend put many km on the boots. Lots of sign, poop, fresh tracks, tons of does but not a buck. Huge grouse population this year.
I love hunting with the boy though and am thankful he wants to hang out with the old man.
Still have a few days off. Thinking of heading up to clearwater tuesday. I have had pretty good luck off camp 2 rd last few years, good fishing in loila lake. Nice country. Jeremy and I saw the hugest buck off grizzly lakes area 2 years ago. Couldn't catch him though.
Can anyone tell me what its like up in barriere lakes area. Never been there.
The boy is back to school but the old man has an empty freezer.
