Passed up this guy 2 weeks ago, starting to feel like I've passed on to many and need to fill a tag though.

Nice pictures Kirby. Hunting with the camera in the off season is a good way to stay in hunting shape and keep the senses sharp all year around.

My personal favourites are the deer looking down on you and the water run off. These two images are perfectly composed, I like the choice of a slower shutter speed to show the water in motion.

Thanks for sharing.

I actually stalked the sow for about 20 minutes and had no idea there were and cubs around, she was really small, and caught my scent as I was going for my camera, I was enjoying being 15 yards away until she "woofed" and two cubs tumbled out 10 yards from me, she put them up the tree and followed them, so I was willing to take the pic.

Huntwriter thanks, I had an F80D film camera that I use to shoot alot of film with. But it got a bit wet in a water fall in Taiwan. Just starting to get use to this one, seems alot harder to get the colors to come out, and get the really crisp edges on the pics. The water was the first time I got a time exposure at all right in the last 3 weeks:D .

Kirby - keep an eye on that buck. He is (or will be) a definite shooter come this fall. Thanks for breaking the monotony with those pics.

Kirby, it could be the type or brand of film you are using. I have found that Kodak will show certain colors in a better way (or warmer) than say Fuji film will.

Just a thought for you.

Sorry, its a digital that I am shooting now. Nikon D70s, with 28-80mm Nikkor lens. I've been playing around with the image quality, and format. I'm just not that accomplished with it, just got it at christmas, and never had time to play with it till now. You guys are likely gonna be seeing alot of pics in the next while:lol:

One of these days I'll find my old photos(got put somewhere in 03 when I was out of the country) and get them scanned, got some great pics but none digitalised.

You are right there. Kodak has a yellow box, meaning they produce warmer colours in yellow and red hues. Fuji on the other hand (green package) brings out the greens and blues more. What shutter speed you use, ant that goes for digital cameras too, can also have a big influence on the colour and colour saturation, and so does the aperature choice.

I still learn to get the hang of digital photography too. However in my case I conceder myself lucky in having in my wife, a professional photogrqapher, a patient and inexpensieve teacher.:D

You cheeky *******!:D  I'm just adapting everything I know about film over, fortunatly I use to do a lot of Action, use to sell them to riders that I got on film, so the action isn't so bad, but the stills are killing me:cool:
