I thought I knew what a moose and a bear poop look like before but now not really sure, it might have been a horse $hit I was seeing eh?
Hope i'm not asking too much but if you guys could take a picture of moose and/or a bear crap and post it here, i'd appreciate it. I'm sure some of the other new hunters will apreciate it as well. Thanks in advance!

I been hunting a long time and have seen a lotta moose crap in the bush but I never took the time to learn how to tell the difference between bull and cow crap. The only way that I would know the difference would be if I was too see that particular moose taking a crap.
Whats the difference between moose and elk poop?

Elk poop has corners on it, if that makes any sense. Not rounded egg shaped like moose poop. And alot of the time the pieces stick together, there'll be four or five stuck together at a time, making little clumps in the main pile.

elk is like moose poop that has been pinched on the end...usually darker i find and when it dries it turns greenish not tannish like moose does...moose looks like chocolat covered almonds....but i assume taste a lot different ha ha

I normally don't pass out old family hunting secrets too often, but the only way to really ID poop is by taste!!! I know you think it's funny and there's no way you can tell a animals size and weight, even rack size by popping there crap in your mouth, but it's true!!! Close your eye's real tight when your chewing the Poop, savor each piece, and in a minute or two you'll see a vision, the animal that left this pile of shit will appear, you'll be able to see exactly what sized animal pinched this loaf in the bush!!! And, believe it or not, by eating poo in the woods, it makes you slowly get smarter, cuz after eating 4 or 5 piles of poop, you slowly learn not to do it any more!!!

If you were to check the wooded area's around Browningboy's camp this same black, blood strewn stool can be found!!! To tell the difference look closely at the ground the near this ecologtical disaster pile of steaming crap, there will be empty beer cans, whiskey bottles, parts of hunters clothing used for ass wipe etc near the Alcohol induced shit pile, if it is truly a bear poo pile it'll taste a bit like berries or rotten meat!!!Also, if it is a human shit pile, look for skid marks in it, usually the shitter will step back a bit to far when trying to stand up and slid back into the pile!!! Hence the term, "Shit and Slid in it"!!! Boy, this thread is one of the more imformative ones I've read in a long time!!!

Of course all of know that it doesn't look the same when the SHIT hits the fan. It appears more spread out and could quite conceivably be mistaken for a bad camouflage paint job on a Suzuki Tracker. At least the direction it came from could be determined. From the direction of the nearest cut block could indicate moose. From the yonder mountains could indicate a wondering grizzly coming down for the salmon run. Either way turn 180 degrees and find a blind and wait.
