I actually like them. They are a Weatherby knock-off. 9 locking lugs on the bolt, 60 deg bolt throw, etc. Browning had to discontinue them under threat of lawsuit from Wby.

I had a 300 WM BBR turned into a 416 Taylor. Its one of my favorite rifles.

Lots of guys are snapping them up for wildcat cartridges. I had one and sold it to upgraded, regret doing it now as it had one smooth action.

Definitely. My 416 Taylor has the smoothest action of any of my rifles, all customs included.

Bought one as a B-Day present for The Missuz many moons back now. European issue, only 9 ever made it into Canada. Sweetest little 25-06 I have ever shot! DEADLY Accurate, and super-slick action!

She (nor I) will never part with it! Turned Her into one Hell of a Shooter!

Cheers,
Nog

I've owned one in 30-06 since 1986. It's my favorite gun.

I have one in .270 that was made in 1979. It's the first and only rifle I've ever owned and hunted with so I don't have much to compare it to, but so far I'm really happy with it. Well built, smooth, and accurate, with classic style. I also like the combination detachable magazine and floor plate. The only downside I've noticed is its heavier than average weight.
