What about doing it yourself? It's dead easy, and you will be gratified by the fact you created the end result. Really all you NEED for equipment is...well you don't need anything in particular besides a knife, and over/dehydrator/smoker, some ingredients, and a willingness to just give it a try. You might be surprised by the results.

I used to use a smoker. However I bought a de-hydrator and it works great - in fact I have a batch in right now. You can buy it at London Drugs and follow the directions - easy. The price will pay for it's self in a couple of batches. You can buy cure and seasoning at wholesale sports or look on line to make your own.
good luck

I make my own. It's simple. Slice a chunk thin, or use ground meat and mix the spices in and push it through a 'jerky gun'. A few hours in the dehydrator and its done. A $10 package of Hi Mtn spice/cure will do 15 lbs of meat. Cracked Pepper & Garlic is my favorite, and I prefer the ground jerky to sliced

takes about twenty minutes and equipment may run you $100. Take it into a meat cutter, might cost more than $100 ;) and the drive to drop it off and pick it up may take you longer than 20 minutes?

Just made my own for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it came out very good. First batch was a little over done, second batch was perfect. I am very happy with the result especially because I did it myself. Used a smoker I had and recipes off the internet

Penguin Meats in White Rock? Who butchered your deer and can't they do it? X2 on the ground meat jerky, I'm eating a piece of my pepperoni jerky right now, mmmmmmmm.

it is so easy to do yourself, there is lots of tips on how to make it in the recipe threads, to have someone else make it for will be costly.

all you need is a dehydrator or smoker, slice meat thinly or grind it like burger, mix in the spices you desire for it or brine it, then dehydrate or put in smoker, I believe you can even do it in your oven

3kills (Darcy) has a very easy technique send him a pm, but hurry he is heading out hunting soon

Pricess Auto has the 'jerky guns' on sale from time to time. Easy to do. And you can make any amounts you want, when you want, and any flavour you want.
