changes in leh

Hi all
I am wondering if anyone is seeing any major changes in this years leh. On quick purusal I haven't seen anything major, but won't know for sure until I can compare with last years. Some buddies and I have been looking for a place to go for a bit of a hunt, either elk or moose but haven't had any luck getting an leh draw. We seem to apply to areas that had low application rates the year before and I suppose everyone sees that and does we do, apply to those areas.
I also heard a report that there may be some special deer tags in the okanagan this year to deal with the increase in urban deer. Anyone else heard anything about that.

The first thing that I noticed was that they split my hunting grounds
(7-16) into three sections. Haven't decided yet whether this is good for me or bad.

There's a lot more new antlerless deer avail in R5.

I noticed that there are a few more elk draws ,goats too .I think that the goat draws are probably areas that were open seasons last year .There are alot less caribou draws in region 7 .I wonder if the guides had there quotas cut back ?I think we are seeing the beginning of the end of hunting as we know it, one day it will be leh for eveything.:-(

there is lots of new doe draws in region 5 and its about time....i seen in one area in region 7 there is one draw for cow elk and they are given out 1000 tags...

That Elk draw darcy is for the 7-20's and is about 400 more than last year due to low success rate. It is the one that is private land only. Huge area !! I am putting in for it. Mike

Wow, its hard to believe that anyone that tried could not connect on this sureshot hunt. Must have been lots of wasted entries. Same old, same old.

I looked over the LEH synopsis this evening and found very little of interest to me in my favorite area, 8-5, 4 and 6. :sad: Fred
