am i even close to right?
i dont have a spot to test this over a 100 yards.
thanxs in advance

if you know how fast those ttsx are running out of your gun you can put it all into the jbm calculator it is pretty cool stuff that you can get for free check it out

If you really will have no place to shoot test this, google ballistic calculators. I used one at ***big game info*** (http://www.biggameinfo.com). You may have to google the ballistic coeficient of your bullet; usually the ammo manufacturer will have that info on their website. Keep in mind that if your barrel is shorter than to one the ammo manufacturer used then your muzzle velocity will go down 50-75fps/inch your barrel is shorter than the test one.

How long is your barrel, and what will be the normal temp and altitude of your hunt? Is you ammo factory? If so what brand?

Are you using factory ammo? If so what does the box say the muzzle velocity is? From that you can look at the drop tables for the bullet you are using and determine it's trajectory.

If you plan on shooting an animal at 300 yards you should really practice out to 300 yards. Same with 400 and so on. Thats my view anyways.... Find out what your gun actually shoots, and not what it does on a calculator.
