Anyone Hunted Merritt Area For Grouse?

I was wondering if anyone has hunted or seen any grouse north of Merritt in wmu 3-18 or 3-19. Im planninig a trip up there on Tuesday and was wondering if it was going to be worth the time? :confused:

Just spend this last weekend in 3-18 and 3-19....saw 1 single grouse the entire weekend. Pretty slow in that area, especially in any buck season, the roads are buzzing with trucks and ATV every 10 mins....good luck

10 days so far in 8-05 and I've seen an average of 1 per day. If your going only for grouse, stay home!! If your going for larger game, by all means pack the little game getter!!

I came across a fair amount between the douglass lake ranch and pennask lake , ( not as many as I have seen in past years )
left every one their for you ;o)

Son and i got 3 the other day...closer to kamloops though...up batchlor, then on to saw mill lake road...Watching creek inskip..3 does and 1 small buck running around..

Went out around Kamloops looking for grouse - put around 4hrs on the boots, saw three - took one before the damn dog got loose. Did a little driving afterwards, to see if it was just the area I was in, and saw nothing

This is a spot that I would regularly see a lot more of them.

i saw a few at murry and only one behind messula lake in 3 days searching. son got one and i got one behind murry all ruffs no blues

I got a few near Murray last week. The dog moved 5 in a few hours of walking and I knocked 3 down. Not lots this year, but they are there.
