Yesterday Feild Marshal and myself had the pleasure of taking 4 youngsters and one other parent out for a Heritage day goose shoot. We had scouted the feild a couple of days befor and seen great goose movement in the area so our hopes were high for a tremendous day. Well the day started well with some birds moving just outside the dekes just after shooting light. We determined that the birds were a little too far for the kids to make good shots on so we let them go.

After that the action was slower than what we were hoping for but we did manage to call in 4 or 5 groups of Canada's and had a hoot playing with 50-75 Speckle Bellie Geese that really wanted into our feild. We were even fortunate enough to bring one small group of the specks in for the kids to shoot at and they were rewarded with 2 nice birds.

Over all the day was a huge success, everyone had a good time. The kids got a chance to shoot all on their own and show what they could do. the adults had fun mentoring the kids and chucking a little s**t their way when there shooting was not as great as it could have been, but most importantly we helped instill a love of the hunt in these young minds which will keep our sport going for generations to come.

Thank you to all involved in yesterdays hunt, and to everyone else take a kid out hunting, it is well worth the rewards.......

Our best Heritage days yet:-D
Thanks to Kyle for bringing his daughter Jaimie out.
Our boy's shenanigans were kept to a minimum with her along
She is an up and coming waterfowler for sure!!!
Special thanks to Duck Buster for watching his field and providing us with a memorable experience!! The corn seems to be coming off slower this year so it was a welcome backup to our other fields. Watching those kids
bust the Specks, was icing on the cake:mrgreen: Some guy said he was going to
Video for us this year but he never showed:evil:. Good season to all!!!!
Cheers, Field Marshal

Seeing I didn't know what field you were hunting in made it a bit difficult. Sorry guys totally lost track of time and date.

The Misses had me out cleaning the garage, power spraying the siding, and sweeping the moss off the roof. Cleaned out the gutters as well, holy crap there was moss right up to the top of the gutters. Just finished washing the floors about an hour ago, the things we do to earn a pass to go hunting.
