A buddy of mine is searching for a nice chocolate Lab puppy. Does anyone know of a good breeder or freind that has good quality pups for sale? Thanks for your help.

Where are you located? There's a guy on here who breeds Chesapeake bay retrievers if that suits his fancy. I had one a few years back, great dogs.

Both my dogs are Someday dogs. They are both getting on(12 1/2 & 10),but they still want to hunt, and are the best companions a man could ask for.I don't know if Linda still breeds large labs(mine are 85 and 100lbs),but a good friend on the Coast has a smaller Chocolate from Someday(60lbs),and Jake retrieves a lot of snows and ducks every year. And he also has a great nose for pheasants. My other lab from Someday is a 7 yr. old female and she too is great waterfowler and pheasant dog. They'll both be retrieving some Canadas this week near FSJ for me and my grandson :-D.

Gunner, your dog's father wouldn't have been "Keeper" would it?
My choc. lab passed away last nov. and Keeper was his dad.
My friend in kamloops has a female lab from Linda and is still around.
Called Linda and she is not breeding as much lately.

Hi Hiram,Gunner's sire was out of Manitoba, and my wife's Chocolate(Boomer) was sired by Molson.Molson had the highest pain threshold of any dog I've ever seen.Linda was demonstrating forcebreaking to me and Molson wasn't paying attention. She finally tuned his collar up all the way and hit both buttons before he looked up and went"you want me?"I laughed my head off and Linda just shook her head. You could almost smell the hair burning!Boomer seems to have inherited that trait. Not a real elec. collar person , but force trainning the old fashion way is what I believe in. Found a breeder in Manitoba that I think I'm gonna purchase my next dog from. "Breukhaven labs"

Don't know if that was the home of Gunner's sire, you might ask them if they knew Mergansers Matlock of something or other! Cheers,Gunner

Both Fairlawn and Somday have bought pups from me if that means any thing. I have a litter due in 3 weeks, Linda at Someday is taking one of them. I have an ad on here as well. I'm in Langley, call me if you would like the details on the breeding. 604-454-8643 thanks Jim
