well looks like its here again...the heat.....the bush is quite, elk are in the timber and/or up high..? does this effect the rut? do they rut a night (from sun down to sun up) (i mean less activity and not so vocal) when this hot.
The bush was really quite up to a week or so a go... and now they've just shut right up....at least in the fernie area anyone else notice this...?

It's hot as all hell in the okanagan this weekend I was thinking the same thing

no better up in 100 Mile...too hot by 9am to hunt....then can only hunt the last hour of daylight....after a very slow start and some cursing at mother nature yesterday morning we connected with a small bull moose (LEH, just before dark last night....one more to go!! Sure sucks sitting at home when I should be out there hunting all day.....game is not moving at all!!!
