I have never hunted in this area before and am looking for i little info if anyone has any for me.Thanks in advance.I believe this was a leh only area before and this is the first year open gos 6 point bulls.I struck out in the peace region this year and i have that empty feeling and would love to try and sneek one more elk hunt in this year.was thinking of crossing shelter bay ferry and head out towards the fish river area looked over google maps and the acsess and country looks pretty good.I just would like to know if this area has decent elk numbers.Its pretty tough with having to find a six point but i got the elk bug and would love another chance at tracking one down.
