I just got back from three weeks in Africa. Ten days hunting in S. Africa and then some touring in Botswana and Zimbabwe.
Here's one of my favourites and the rest are in my gallery for those that like the African stuff. I'll be going back!!

This was an old warthog and he'd lost a lot of body mass. Making him even uglier!

Less than the taxes on most of the trucks I see the moose hunters driving around here. I drive a '92 Dodge and a '90 Camry. Priorities, I guess.

They will all eventually be mounted.

LOL. Brambles could buy a half dozen safaris for what he's spent on his garage/shop/man-cave, U/L rifles, stocks. You don't have to be rich to hunt Africa, you just have to want it more than other stuff. I get a hard time from guys driving 60,000 km trucks with $15,000 in aftermarket stuff, towing an $18,000 UTV. :)

Congrats on a great time! You got some great animals there. Not surprised at all to hear that you got infected with the bug. :) Don't worry, its even better the second time (and third, etc, etc).

Cheers!!

How many years do you have left? A trip to Africa would make a dandy graduation present to yourself!

Great work - can you tell a short story on the jackal and baboon? They couldnt have been easy to get within range!

hmm, I don't know how I missed this thread. Great hunt. I've always felt the Kudu, Gemsbock and Impala hunts most desirable IMO, but taking a Wildebeast? Great photos and great horns on those.

I'd like to know what your yardage was on the Wildebeast and on that Klip Springer. That's a small target.

I think someone already asked it, what was your method of hunting? Spot & stalk?
