great area for mulies and moose, but i would suggest getting off the roads into back slashes and watch the treeline for mulies this time of year, not sure when your planning on going for this trip but moose are not open in 3-30 until oct 15th this year, and are not open at all in 5-1 without an LEH draw but if you do not know the area i would head down to bonaparte lake area and check old cuts!

you need a draw for 5-01 moose.

I think it's good for mulies and moose but don't think you'll find much for whitetail in those areas. WT seem to inhabit more the area around Kamloops and east parts of the region. There might be a few in there though.

While Whitetails are open in 5-1 and 3-30 almost none get taken. Most recent years are zero according to my harvest stats.

I'll be heading up there for the first time October 18th.

Gun Dog- don't worry about the whitetail harvests in 3-30... my group will drop some. :)

Thump-Her - I would head east of 70 mile between towards the Bonaparte Lake area. This area has lots of hunters but there are LOTS of logged areas.

I have never seen a whitetail in 3-30 or 3-31 in over 6 years. i hear they are starting to spread out out but not that far yet.

There is quite a few whitey's in 3-30. In the last 5 yrs i've seen more than ever. Saw a nice 4pt whitey buck two years ago but had no tag:icon_frow

I have property in 5-01 very near the border to region 3. We now see more whitetail than mule deer. Bring a tag because they ARE there
