What kind of a timber type are you finding the bulls in? Looks like D.Fir + Pine + Larch? hard rocky soil with grasses?? You sure have some patience :)

You know what really sucks? I was sitting with Wayne in the same spot he video taped the 6X6 and the 5X6 only the night before and never saw a fricken thing.

Oh well we had a great trip just the same and saw a few animals, hopefully next time we connect. Quick learning curve that's for sure.

hunter1947,
In the first few vids of the Elk across the canyon, how far do you estimate them to be from your position?
If you decided to that the bull was 320+ would you have taken the shot from there or stalk closer?
Cheers

Good for you Wayne. As you know you can't shoot a huge one if you shoot a big one first. You're into the elk. It'll happen.

The two elk I filmed my range finder found them to be out at 295 yards if one of the two was the bull I wanted he would be on the ground for sure ,Bang ,Bang..

If I just wanted any 6 point bull one of them would be in my freezer right now..
