Going to be heading up to 6-4 (around Francois lake) for the first time, for the Oct 20 - 26 open moose season. This is kind of a last jab at getting a moose as other plans fell through.

Has anyone spent time in this area much, any info you could pass along would be great!

Cheers and happy hunting,

Tristan.

Might be a good bet to check out 7-12 7-13 on your way. Not sure , but I think they have a 2 week calf moose season up there in Mid October {check the regs},so if you don't find an immature bull, calves are plentiful most years in that area. Just past Fraser Lake is a real good bet. I've done very well there in the past, mind you I had access to a couple 3500 acre cattle ranches:mrgreen:

You're better off heading out towards Cheslatta and Bird lake areas. Binta Fire burnt lots of acrage around Francois Lk. Head out the Marrila Rd at 59 km of teh Holy Cross. Really good areas around Bird Lake.
