Went out on a local lake with my son and his young chocolate lab Moose for a morning of wing shooting.
It was a close overcast day and had a misting rain coming off and on.
No geese were around but we managed to tag a couple gadwalls and scaup.
My big man Luke was severley PO'd as he didn't get to go as we can't have both together in the same small boat for the longer ride to the reeds where we hunted.We did however manage to get some good much needed training in for Moose who needs some work anyways and the two have a tendancy to compete just a little too hard when there needs to be a retrieve made.
It was a good morning however and I have a promise in that Luke goes next time.We also found a spot that we can put the boat in for a shorter ride to a place that has solid ground instead of sitting in the water so we may be able to take both next time as well.
