Well seeing that my brother had knee surgery a few weeks ago and he was going nuts sitting in his house (cabin Fever) I thought I would get him and take him for a drive down our favorite gravel roads and see what we could see. As we came over the mountain low and behold I stop the truck and say to Him--"Would you look at that!!!" I got out and took a picture of the Cow and calf having a mid afternoon snack in the marshland

Carrying on just slow driving down the roads we stopped and took our self portraits against a rather large pine

And later we sat down at a producing honey-hole to wait for the evening to see if something might come out into this little clear area, not far from the main road.
Well the cows ( beef type) came into the area and we both had to laugh, because as well as we thought we were como'ed and the wind was blowing into our faces this herd stops 50 yds from us and every one of them in a semi-circle look what seemed to be straight at us--could have been a hunting cartoon- I imagine they were thinking-- OK Who brought the camera?? HAHA .
After about an hour we heard a 'Yote across the way--sounded pretty close, So I thought -"Oh well--Thats it- No self respecting deer would be around here now, and a few minutes later into the field trots this Yote-- walking straight for us-can't be more than 150- 170 yds now I'm thinking-maybe our cover is better than I thought with the cows. to make a long story short- THE "YOTE GOT SMOTE"

After which I drove across the valley to another cut block and climbing to the ridge got busted by a nice muley, it bounded away before I could count the tines -it seemed large, but in the bush and at dusk it's difficult-- it would have been a horrible pack out anyway--I can wait season is still young
Once it got dark we drove to where my son "Dutchie" was camped enjoyed his campfire for a bit before driving home-- Had a great day, perked my bro's spirits up immensely, saw some game/wildlife, saved a few deer from the yote.

P.S. I don't post much, so I hope the pictures come through--not quite sure if I'm doing it right

Great job on the yote John but the picture against the pine is a bit creapy... lol Maybe that is why the cows were lookin'
