Other game near golden ?

So we are doing an LEH goat hunt october 15th to 22nd.. and are wondering if we get our trophy early, what other good game is there in the area that is open ? Hoping someone knows the area can give us hints for a secondary hunt..

We drew a mountain goat tag so we'll be high up. But I was thinking maybe thered be bighorns, WTs, elks maybe lower down ? Haven't been to golden so unsure..

Check the regs, and look for open seasons 4-35...... There is a Sheep closure around Golden to protect the local herd... Check the regs!

was out there once for 5 days, we saw 3 goats, 1 elk, 1 sheep, and 2 grouse. I was not impressed
