I heard these words as A killer and I were preparing to leave the valley that looked so good for sheep we knew they had to be here somewhere.
Looking out you could see his white cape glowing in the sunshine, putting the spotting scope on him I could see that he was indeed what we had come for. I told A killer that we just found his ram, allwe had to do was get past the 1200+ yards that was between us !
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/wildimages/StoneSheep2010078-1.jpg
The ram stared intently at the corner below us for a long time but would put his head down every once in a while to take a few bites. I watched him in the scope and told Aaron when his head was down and he slithered out of the rocks and down the hill where he was out of the rams line of sight.
Watching through the scope as the stalk went on I kept snapping pics and watching the best hunting show I have ever seen take place live right before my eyes.
As the two got closer I found myself coaching Aaron through the stalk even though he couldn't hear me. Finally I saw him crouch down and bring up his gun, then the wait. The ram hadn't exposed much of himself and it was a stand off.
The ram turned and bolted the the shot report came back to me, Aaron jumped up and ran then fired anouther shot. By now the ram was headed for the rocks, keeping him in the scope I saw him stumble then one more shot rang out and he fell.
I jumped up and yelled, Aaron had not seen the ram go down and was hoping that I was yelling for a good reason, not a bad one.
As he walked up this is what he found

And it all fit in the new Erblestocks too :-D
Just can't bear to work our asses off then come back and suffer in a small tent. We spent two nights in the wall tent and had the wood stove going with those 3 hr presto logs from Canadian tire.
A little piece of heaven with sheep tenderloin and spiced apple cider with cinnammon whiskey to finish off a great trip.

GoogleEarth is free. You'd probably be paying the equivalent of about 3 million bucks an hour for how long it would take you to figure it out on your own. :)
