Another Happy Youth

My 14 year old (boy with hat) shot this buck on the 3rd day of youth season. Came into a clear cut early in the morning. He was the only deer around. 80 yard shot to top of shoulders with 140 grain fusions from a 7mm-08. Buck went down within a couple of steps. This is his 2nd buck of season. The first buck was a 3x3 whitey. Unfortunately forgot to charge camera so have no pictures.
Just another note of interest. We were out in the north end of Kettle valley not far off hwy 6 the other day & heard a pack of wolves howling. I have hunted this area from when I was a kid and have never heard or seen wolves around. Has anyone else ran into wolves in Cherryville area?

Great buck! I heard of a pack of wolves being sighted in the Innanoaklin drainage last winter.
