Not true at all! The UBBC is still active but we have closed the website forums as we don't have a web guy that can monitor all the bots and spammers.

I became a member a couple of years ago but haven't heard from, or seen their site for quite a while, so, like "Bow Walker", I thought maybe they were history. They didn't have adequate membership inter-communication like most forums, so, other than participating in a common unified bowhunting voice, I saw no advantage personally, (other then having a nice friendly chat with a U.S. border guard who noticed my window sticker and was just getting into archery)

I was going to join too, but as mentioned they seem to have not made a peep since 2009, no newsletter, forums, or meetings - how do they decide what to lobby about? I liked the spring 2009 newsletter posted - it has a well-researched shot placement article - but why did they call it quits since then?

Maybe I should join to get a nice window sticker to display in solidarity though :D
