Not to have a bear tag. Put off getting one, not sure why, it's usually the first tag I buy. Walking along an old logging road, I come up around a bend and there's a shooter chowing down on grass at the side of the road, not 20 metres away. He never knew I was there until I backed off a ways, and he winded me. Not much else tonight, some fresh deer and moose sign, and a coyote who wouldn't let me get close enough for a shot. I hope everyone else is doing better than me.

Sounds pretty good. Hard to beat that from the inside of the arena.

Or work for that matter :(
Nice ...

Last time that happened to me ...(walked up to a shooter bear and not been able to shoot it) Was when I walked down to the river at Wilkins park one day in july before I went for a float ...
Out of season, non shooting area ... no bow... not even a pocket knife, my leatherman was 400 yards away at the river in my float tube with my buddy.

What you see when you don't have a gun - or a bow. I saw two NICE bucks the other day. All I had was my camera and my dogs.
