Bear claw question

I don't remember where I read it but some one posted a solution to soak or boil bear claws in and the claws would pull right out. Can someone repost this info for me. Or what is someone elses easiest method for removing the claws and getting all the meat and hide off them?

I just boil the hell ot of them and then pull off all of the meat. Works for me but there might be an easier way. Steve.
