Hi I am going to be going up hunting to the Christian valley area this upcoming weekend, and was wondering if anyone knew of any lakes in the area that might be good for camping. I would also like to know if anyone has been hunting there lately, and if they have seen much game.

Thanks.

which way will you be travelling?? are you going through kelowna or Rock creek??? there are alot of campsites by the river along the highway 33 (from rock creek to christian valley)...
we just got back from cv last week we were there for youth season, personally didn't see much in the bush, saw a couple of does and a small spike buck on a private property and a few turkeys...
our friends are heading there this friday aswell....
good luck....

You could try Damfino Creek campsite or Nevertouch Lake if it's open. It was closed a couple of years ago because of a forest fire.

Tarus (check spelling) lake.
Good camping. The road goes around the lake and there is several places to camp right on the lake. There was fish jumping everywhere but i didnt have a boat. I wasnt hunting and i saw a few deer during the day.

A few nice spots at 40km.
Right on the river.
Was a bit rough getting in but only a 100 meters.

We ended up camping up at cup lake, we too seen several does and a large black bear, couldn't get close enough to the black bear, otherwise he would have ended up coming home with us!

Thone lake. It's a ways off the valley floor road and it will take you to the high country. Whiteys down low and to the south of the lake and muleys and bear further up(east) of the lake. The logging road will take you way back and way high to some nice clear cuts. Road ends about 20 min past lake. Lots of area around there. The lake has a forestry site with the all important outhouse.
