Hello, Does anyone have any info on the condition of some of the roads around dease lake? Would like to get to dease or thibert creek for some camping and prospecting. These creeks are located on the west side of the lake. Have heard you can ford the lake at it's mouth. Was planning to drive in as far as possible with a 4x4 and then hiking. Any info would be appreciated.

The crossing at the north end of the lake is very low, even for this time of year.

All the same, there are a couple holes that can neatly fit an F-350 up to the roof, as well as a couple boulders sticking up.

Ask locally exactly where to cross. Usually you have to drive up the bank (north) for a hundred feet or so, were it is marked, then you cross back in the upstream direction to where you see the tracks on the west side.

The roads west and up Adsit and Porcupine are pretty good.
