Some friends got an LEH for MU 7-11 in October. Decided to join them and am wondering about areas to set up camp. It would be nice to set up in the trees somewhere or near a lake or river if possible. Any info would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

North end had less traffic, I cant remember any lakes or such. It was a number of years ago. But i did hunt south 7-11 two years and north 5.
Frank lake was close to 7-11 but i think its in 7-12 but the camp site was nice.

but if i was to go to 7-11 again id hed to the 7-11 7-12 border

Didn't you hear, It's all burned down, the moose went west and the bears came to town and there are no deer because the wolves ate them all.

I know some good spots in 7-11 , been hunting it over 25yrs. I get a little cynical about giving information out about the area. I have seen , a few times, a party of 8, two group hunts for moose, show up with 4 pick-ups, 8 quads, and just destroy the whole valley in 3 or 4 days, trucks in the AM lunch then 8 ways on the quads 'till past dark. all legal but that much pressure in a small area is noticed. we do our hunting early then last part of October as it becomes a gong show especially TG weekend. Pm me if you want some good spots to go to .

Lavoie lake is really nice and excellent fishing as well .Not too many camp sites but the ones they have are nice with a lake view.Tatuk lake has lots but it gets really busy during calf season. There are a few big grizzlies travelling that area now so hang your meat high and put a bucket of moth balls in front of your tent.

I've been there twice, my partner got his cow moose on one trip. But last year we went back to the same place and honestly, there was more traffic in the area we were in than there is in front of my house in Vancouver.

Use to hunt there in the late 80's, also hunted 5-13 "bulls only" at the time. Became very busy, found a new area.
Finger Lake was great for fishing in Oct..

Just got back from 7-11 and they are right on about the traffic. It's a gong show there. Didn't see anything we were able to shoot as we didn't have a LEH draw. If we did.....way different story. Be sure to get to your evening sit early, like 2 pm, otherwise some group of 10 will jump right in!
