I got my BC Outdoors Hunting issue today...and there was an article about why they shortened the moose season in region 6. After reading the article....it seemed there wasn't really any neccessary reason for it to happen.

Am I missing something? Some areas (GOS) were shortened by 2 months???

Did I miss something?I left Hazelton 11 years ago and the season for 6-8,6-9 and 6-30(all around Houston,Smithers Babine lake and Hazelton)was reduced then to 7 days GOS any bull in Oct.Wasn`t even worth buying a tag for that shit. You gotta work 5 of the days, get 2 to hunt.No
LEH......no moose for you.

Ive never seemed to have problems getting my moose. Nor do i have problems getting freinds and family theres. Usually get 2 or three in that open season.

It would be really unfortunate if there was no where in the province that allowed the harvest of 'any bull' outside of LEH. I hope it never comes to that. Our moose populations are strong. A GOS on 'any bull' is not going to ruin the moose numbers.

no..there not as strong as you say...and its counter productive....that season exists for tourism dollars now..things have changed from hunting pressure up here and ticks and wolves...one of which i missed today...
