I have thought about post this for a little while because of the ribbing, (of just get out there and look for your self) that I will get but hey I think that I have thick enough skin for it.
I was very fortunate to get the 3/4 curl sheep draw in region 3-17. We have been in the area a couple of times this summer but have yet to see any thing. It has been ridiculously hot on the trips up there but have yet to see a lot of promising area. For those that read this the leh area is not at Spence bridge but on the Lillooet side so, no I won't be shooting from the high way. We have scouted the area and reviewed maps, and Google earth - I'm a little disappointed with the area, I'm I missing something? for are they just not around yet.
Are these sheep high timber sheep or are they in the rock structure on the canyon walls?
I know I've seen them right off the highway too, but they are not there now. Or will they migrate into this area? Constructive suggestions would be appreciated,
I know I have to get out and hike but the area is very small and if they are timber sheep then that changes the areas which we will concentrate on.
