I have thought about post this for a little while because of the ribbing, (of just get out there and look for your self) that I will get but hey I think that I have thick enough skin for it.
I was very fortunate to get the 3/4 curl sheep draw in region 3-17. We have been in the area a couple of times this summer but have yet to see any thing. It has been ridiculously hot on the trips up there but have yet to see a lot of promising area. For those that read this the leh area is not at Spence bridge but on the Lillooet side so, no I won't be shooting from the high way. We have scouted the area and reviewed maps, and Google earth - I'm a little disappointed with the area, I'm I missing something? for are they just not around yet.

Are these sheep high timber sheep or are they in the rock structure on the canyon walls?

I know I've seen them right off the highway too, but they are not there now. Or will they migrate into this area? Constructive suggestions would be appreciated,
I know I have to get out and hike but the area is very small and if they are timber sheep then that changes the areas which we will concentrate on.

I advise use of the OATP principle for 3/4 curl rams in that area:

O=October
A=Alfala fields or close proximity
T= Travel up and down the highway and roads and keep looking up and in the ditch.
P=Permission if on private property

Do you think that floating the river is productive?

Have you figured out if you have all the way to the Fraser, or is the highway your boundary? From the research I have gathered, I think later is better.

The boundary is down to the river. would like to see the area from the river view the cliffs from the water

Always found it easiest to find rams there by glassing from the opposite side of the river.

Can also try the PTHIR option.
Permisson To Hunt Indian Reserve. It never hurts to ask.

Check in with Pavilion and Fountain bands, for permission to cross their reserve lands. Be a chance the ranchers, won't let you.

For those that live in the Lillooet area - have the sheep show up there starting at Gibbs Creek? Its been a couple weeks since I've been in the area. and was wondering if the sheep have made there way in.

I saw a bunch last year when I was hunting hat creek area.They were on the opposite site of pavillion road heading south.Best bet to check the higher grounds now when its colder searching for fresh grass seeing how its still brown down below.

I didn't see any sheep this morning along the diamond s ranchlands. However I did see a couple guys ou there glassing the hillsides. Been looking for them though everytime I go by.
