Spotted this story from the Delta Optimist re: a missing GSP . . . somewhere between Ladner and Princeton.

That's terrible. Sounds like he's trying pretty hard to find his dog. Hopefully somebody picked it up and will do the right thing and find the owner.

I hope he finds her. Our GSP did the same thing when we stopped at Sunday summit a few years back. We spent hours looking for her. Then we had to come home. She made it to the highway. And someone from Port Coqitlam picked her up and dropped her off at the Chilliwack pound. She had a tattoo in her ear and the phone number on her collar. It was a good day that day. Our dog looks similar to his but a lot darker.

Missing since June is a long time for a dog to be missing. Hard for me to believe the dog got out while the truck would still be moving. However, if it did there is a good chance the dog would have been injured. Was this notice ever posted at Vet Clinics throughout the Lower Mainland? The reason I ask is that I have never seen this notice posted on the bulletin board of my vet in Chilliwack. Last thing for this owner to consider is did they pull over to stop for lunch on their way to the Field Trial. If so, there are some strange folks out there that when they see a dog in the back of a kennel in a truck, especially on a hot day, that think the dog is in distress and would think nothing of taking the dog out from the kennel. In their minds they believe they are rescuing the dog. Hope the dog is finally found so that Dolly and the owner can be reunited.
