Tried oats once a couple yrs ago. I think the little pile is still there:?.

I'd go with something else....just don't ask me what.

my dad put out a bunch of apricots and other fruit that had dropped from the trees and they were gone pretty fast, if you have a contact of someone who owns an orchard go fill some boxes with whats fell it seems to work great.

buckerfields has a bag of powder salt lick type stuff in a blue bag, cant think of the name off hand but it works.

Put out 2 dozen apples I gathered from our orchard, all gone by the next day except a few halves. Nice tracks around off the game trails. If using apples make sure to cut open to let out the aroma.

I put out 50 pounds of oats tonight with a salt lick. Will check it on Wednesday and let you guys know how it worked. Tons of moose sign in the area where I put it so im interested to see if the donkeys touch it.
