Went out near Squamish late monday morning to check out a few areas. Must say I was surprised to see just as much elk sign and deer. An no I was down the Squamish Valley or Elaho Valley. For all those people asking about where to find blacktails. I only saw mature deer tracks starting 1 mile from the end of the road and in the steep deep stuff. Found a nice area with a small browsing area next to the thick woods. Saw about 30 rubs within 100yards of each other so I hung a trail cam and headed to check out a new area. Took pics of alot of the rubs specially the ones with 3 to 4 trees in a row that were pretty much destroyed. Will post them soon. Pretty excited to check my trail cam. Spotted one coyote pup from this year just as he spotted me. Bring on the season.
