So i just started working for a different company and i am being shipped off to stony plain ab.for a couple of months to help finish a project for the city of edmonton and i have to cancel my 6 day trip in 8-5 and a 1 week sask. whitetail trip with my dad. this new job was a great opportunity i would be a fool to pass up, so i guess i'll try to fit in a day trip here and there. A bummer no doubt, but i guess i will have to be extremely patient for next year.

Hunting trips are hard to fit in. The obvious to any hunter is to go hunting but as we know it is not allways the best choice. My wife and I take posestion of our new house that is being built 2 weeks after my moose trip so I have to give her final say on the fit and finish. My bow hunting friend has just had hernina opp to start the season. All I can say is that I spent 2 hours walking a locked forest service road looking for grouse today so I know where my loyaltys are.

Good news on the job side but a bummer on the hunting end.

There will be many years of left to hunt and you might even be able to hook up with someone on your job site that is a local that will take you out for deer when you are out in Edmonton???.

everything has a way of working itself out in the end, I'm not losing any sleep over it because it's something i have to do. my wife and i just bought a house 5 months ago then work took a turn for the worse until this opportunity arose. like my dad always says, "you do what you gotta do boy" and this is what i gotta do. Cheers everyone and best of luck in the coming season.

I missed the whole 2008 season with a near death experience. Back at it in 2009 and took a nice muley buck. Looking forward to this season even more. Shit happens and we press on. Good luck with the new job.
