An $8500 Dall sheep hunt is pretty cheap. One thing to note before you book it though. The guides in AK do not have exclusive territories like they do in BC, YK, NWT. So you may find yourself not only competing with residents (every other guy in AK seems to have a plane) but with other outfitters as well.

One of my clients told me on his AK hunt the outfitter dropped them off at an "airstrip" and they set up camp. The guide never moved from that area, all they did was wait and hope someone pushed some rams to them. Seems there were at least a couple of other outfiitters plus some resident hunters in the same area. As in, there were a couple of camps in the same valley and more in every direction.

if things seems to be too good to be true they usually are. i would check that outfitter out really well before plunking down some cash. been there done that. not trying to be negative, just realistic. good luck

I don't get the best 'vibe' off his website. Not trying to discourage anyone but certainly heed Bridgers advice. $8500 is still a chunk of change. Hell, that's a few trips up the Kechika.

Have you delt with this guy before or just going through the third party website?
