were is a good day spot to fish aroound the lower mainland

My buddy and I are looking for a good spot to catch some salmon or trout and were using spoons and spinners ..but I fly fish lol its better lol anyways were is a good place to travel for a day trip any help would be great......

For trout I would hit the Vedder River, and if you don't mind the crowds I heard that the channel to Peg Leg is now low enough to safely wade it. You could either floss or fly fish for your sockeye.
