I'd like to buy a new tactical scope for a Tikka T3 Tactical in .300 winmag.

It should work well in low light conditions, easy to use, fogproof, waterproof, shockproof and used for big game hunting up to 600 yard and probably more.

Price range up to $500 is preferable.

Any ideas on such a scope that you have personally used or have observed being used by others?

inexpensive optics and precision shooting don't go hand in hand

I'd save up longer to be able to afford a scope like a Mark4 Leupy or a Nightforce.........just my opinion

I'm of the same opinion - you would want an MK4 min to be confident.

If your shooting over 600 yrds and spending $500 on a scope something is wrong. Unless the scope feels really 'hot' to touch.

I picked up a Mark 2 4-12x40 for my Tikka Varmint. It was onsale so I didn't pay much more than 500 IIRC but if you can find one it will be in the 600 range.

The Elite 6500's are good as well but your gonna need to spend more than 500 bucks.

I agree with everyone else 500 bucks is not going to get you what you need save somemore.

Personally, if I was in the same boat I'd have a hard look at something like this...

or this one...

I mention GR because they are more reasonable than Vortex from down south.
